Yoga





Yoga is a therapy which helps you to become more aware of your body’s posture, alignment, and patterns of movement.   It makes the body more flexible, and helps to relax, even in the midst of a stress-stricken environment.

Physiological Benefits of Yoga include:

  • increasing flexibility, and relieving stiffness in the back and neck
  • increasing lubrication of the joints, ligaments and tendons, helping to prevent injury
  • muscle toning, increasing strength throughout the entire body, including the spine
  • improving postural alignment and correcting round and sluggish shoulders

These enormous physical benefits are just a “side-effect” of this powerful practice.   Yoga harmonizes the mind with the body, relieving the detrimental effects of stress upon our physical, endocrinal and emotional systems.

 


Pre-Natal

Smart Workout offers yoga training specifically designated as “Pre-Natal”.

The trainings with this designation are led by yoga teachers with advanced certifications for the specialty of pre-natal instruction.

And even the other yoga trainings at Smart Workout (those not specifically designated “pre-natal”) are also taught with a sensitivity for the pre-natal condition. All the yoga teachers at Smart Workout are certified Yoga Teachers, with a minimum 200 hour certification (which includes pre-natal instruction), and in addition, are given extensive instruction on pre-natal, as part of our in-house training program.
