The experience: After an introduction to the rowing apparatus and proper form, the lively instructor pushed our small class (only three people allowed per session) through 45 minutes of nonstop rowing. Because of the personalized attention, I probably worked harder than I would have on my own, and learned that just moving my arms can provide a great ab workout.
